Civil Society Dialogue IV Funding Program, Inclusive Students in Pre-school Education

Association of Early Childhood (Okul Oncesi Eğitim Birligi Dernegi) was founded in 4th February 2015 in order to gather pre-school institutions under a single roof and to enable social, professional, scientific, and cultural cooperation among institutions from national and international levels. Our working themes can be listed as follows;
• Announcing the importance,studies, contributions to community abd problems of pre-school institutions to the public and ensuring and conducting cooperation.
• Creating a learning atmosphere for all the staff of pre-school instutions by conducting courses, workshops, meetings, seminars and conferances and making publications.
• Ensuring strategic cooperation with the NGOs that are working parallel with the same principles, establishing federations and confederations if necessary.
• Creating initiatives for the sector of pre-school education that supports women employment to take the advantage of governement incentives.
• Establishing economical initiatives in order to provide fund for realizing aims and working themes of the association.
As Association of Early Childhood (Okul Oncesi Eğitim Birligi Dernegi) , we believe in the importance and necessity of the communication and interaction among NGOs on the local, national and international level. In this context, we think that Civil Society Dialogue between EU and Turkey - IVEducation Grant Scheme is an important opportunity.
The global objective of aforementioned Call for Proposals is to achieve a high level of mutual understanding between all sectors of civil society in Turkey and in the EU Member States, including the implications of Turkey’s EU membership. The specific objective of the Call for Proposals is establishment of strong links and a high level cooperation between civil society in Turkey and the EU Member States through civil society dialogue in the area of education where civil society dialogue is particularly valuable for Turkey’s successful accession to the EU.
In the context of the application of this Proposal, as Association of Early Childhood (Okul Oncesi Eğitim Birligi Dernegi), we have been preparing a Project on “ Strengthening Pre-School Teachers On Inclusive Education”. In this Project, 60 teachers from 60 public pre-schools that are linked to Ministry of National Education will be strengthened on the basis of teachers’ behavioral schemes to the students of inclusive education, their support to these students, conducting a balance in the class. In this context, it is thought to make an integration of the pheunomenon of “shadow teacher” in the inclusive education of Turkish education system.
If it is suitable for you, we wish to make a cooperation with you for this Proposal as a co-applicant. By the help of study visits of co-applicants to each countries, the opportunity of the implementation of inclusive education will be evaluated and adaptation of the best practices will be taken place.
