Change Violent Behavior by Using VR

Probation services are working with offenders for treatment and rehabilitation. As probation services professionals, we work to prevent offenders from re-offending. For this mission a group of specialists are working together: sociologists, psychologists, social service specialists and teachers. This spacialists are conduct individual interviews and group studies with involved in crime.
However, we think that the technology should be more involved in this treatment and rehabilitation process. So we decided to think more seriously about the idea.
In Turkey, most of the crimes committed are violent crimes. And violent crime often comes with drug and alcohol issues and anger management issues. From this perspective, we think we can change violent behavior by using technology more efficiently. We had our research and we found some studies in this subject. They are about to use ‘’virtual reality’’ glasses for treat offenders.
Based on this informations we think that our specialists should participate in a treatment program with VR glasses.
