Challenges of NEET Young People

Transnational Seminar: Young people. Andalusia (Spain) -4th to 8th September 2013 or 2th to 6th October (Flexible dates. Agreement partners)

This transnational seminar, created with the purpose to discuss, exchange ideas and best practices around the promotion of employment and youth entrepreneurship. We want to provide a space that allows discussion of European youth policy in order to develop a strategy for Youth Guarantee NEET's (not in education, employment, or training) that includes recommendations to the European youth policies.
Faced with rising levels of unemployment, it is increasingly difficult for young people to find work and many may decide to extend or go back to school. The prolonged effect of the crisis is exacerbating an already difficult situation for many. In the long term, youth unemployment is increasing: on average 28% of young people under 25 unemployed have been unemployed for over 12 months.
This transnational seminar offered the opportunity to contribute ideas and to discuss, in this way, promote the integration of young people into the labor market, either as employees or as entrepreneurs, always offering job opportunities across borders, enabling young people to participate actively in political life and decision-making and work towards a career guidance and counseling services for young people.
