Caring Communities in Youth Work

Training Course for youth workers on ecofeminism, care and community to improve youth work quality, inclusion and local impact.

Caring Communities for Youth Work Across Borders is a 6-day Training Course aimed at youth workers who want to strengthen the quality, inclusiveness and social impact of their work with young people.

The course explores ecofeminism, community-building and care practices as educational frameworks that help youth workers address current challenges such as social isolation, lack of participation, gender inequalities, burnout and limited access to opportunities (especially in rural areas).

Through non-formal learning and experiential methods, participants will:
- explore community-based and ecofeminist perspectives for youth work,
- practice group facilitation, shared leadership and inclusive participation,
- learn tools for emotional sustainability, self-care and prevention of burnout,
- co-create strategies for supporting young people with fewer opportunities,
- exchange good practices and build long-lasting partnerships.

The TC will take place in Tuscany (Italy) and is inspired by a previous course implemented by Espacio Ládano (Spain), adapting its approach to a new local context and to the needs of European partner organisations.

Target group: youth workers, educators, youth leaders, mentors and facilitators (18+). We welcome participants working with young people facing fewer opportunities.

Expected results:
- improved competences in facilitation and community-building,
- stronger cooperation among European youth organisations,
- practical methodologies transferable to local communities,
- follow-up actions and Youthpass recognition.

The project addresses key Erasmus+ priorities: Inclusion & Diversity, Participation, Sustainability and Youth Work Quality.

Join us to learn, co-create and build caring communities for young people across Europe!
