CARE-ER: From Care to Career (ERASMUS+ KA210-YOU)

Project Overview

As the Çanakkale Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, we are currently developing a project aimed at improving the social and professional integration of young people (ages 18-25) who were under state protection and have been victims of neglect or abuse, or youth who have become involved in criminal activities.

In Turkey, these young individuals have the right to public employment after the age of 18. However, due to long-term institutional care and the weight of past traumas, they often face significant challenges in adapting to professional life—particularly regarding work discipline and interpersonal relations at workplace. Our project aims to support these youth during their first two years of employment to ensure a smooth transition into both the workforce and independent adulthood.

What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a public institution or an NGO from Europe with proven experience in:
• The employment and social integration of disadvantaged youth.
• Working with youth drifted into crime or those coming from the social protection system.
• Developing "good practice" models for life-skills training and job adaptation.

Partner Responsibilities
1. Hosting & Knowledge Exchange: Hosting our expert team in your country to share your local "good practice" examples and methodologies.
2. Workshop Participation: Sending an expert team to participate in a collaborative workshop held in the heart of nature, at the foot of the Kaz Mountains in Çanakkale, Turkey.
3. Reporting: Contributing to a final recommendation report based on the project's findings and expertise shared.
