Create resilience for Youth in a Climate Emergency. Train youth in Climate Literacy then volunteer in the Caribbean making organic gardens with poor families.
Dear Future partner
We are two partners working together to do a “Climate Activism” program – we are looking for 2 or 3 more European partners.
Richmond Vale Academy was established in 2002, as a non-profit research and training institution situated in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Since the opening more than 600 students from the Caribbean and across the world have participated in courses fighting global warming and global poverty. Richmond Vale Academy will host volunteers to do Climate Actions. Organization ID: E10033995
The second partner One World Center, Denmark is a non-profit organization with a mission to inspire and empower ordinary people to take action against worldwide poverty. “We address the issues of our time with unique teaching and learning environments that cultivate social change and support our global vision namely a sustainable future”. Organization ID: 10492793. https://lindersvold.dk/
Creating resilience for Youth in a Climate Emergency
The idea is to have a “MOBILITY OF YOUTH WORKERS” in Denmark before the youth go to the Caribbean – as a preparation phase. These youths come from each partner country so the partners need accreditation for sending Volunteers.
Then they go to St Vincent and the Grenadines to do Climate Actions and learn first hand about the impact of Global Warming and Climate Change in a small island nation. After this they return to disseminate their knowledge and experiences in each partner country with a Youth Exchange.
The idea of the application is to build capacity and resilience within Global Warming and Climate Change for youths and partners. We are in Corona times and it is difficult because we can become estranged from one another, but Global Warming and Climate Change is here and now; so we need to be prepared to stick together.
We welcome your input and ideas.
Greetings Else Marie.
