BACKGROUND
The Training Course “CAM - Creativity and Arts for Mental health” aims at enhancing youth workers’ skills in mental health and well-being through the use of creativity and the arts.
This course offers a dynamic learning experience, with Performing Arts and Experiential Learning at its core. Participants will engage in a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical, hands-on activities, allowing them to explore and refine their own ideas and proposals.
CAM focuses on both personal and professional development. By integrating artistic expression with educational practices, it empowers youth workers to become more effective and impactful in their roles. They will be better equipped to support the mental and emotional well-being of the young people they work with, while creating more inclusive, supportive, and transformative environments in Youth Work.
METHODOLOGY
The methodology will draw from experiential learning and non-formal education approaches, incorporating the following techniques:
Storytelling and Narrative Techniques
Performing Arts collective practices
Experiential Learning Models
Site-specific creations
Creative writing and bibliotherapy
OBJECTIVES
To promote quality and innovation in non-formal learning among organizations, youth workers and young people fostering Erasmus+ European Youth Goals;
To develop creative strategies and techniques to set up inclusive and engaging practise in Youth Work to promote well-being and mental health;
To reflect on the learning process and how the course practices can be adapted to different contexts at local, national and European levels.
PARTNER PROFILE
An organisation registered with an EU OID (Organisation ID number), interested in joining our project with competences in one or more of the following areas:
- Interested in performing arts and/or creative methods in intercultural contexts;
- Interested in exploring performing art as a tool for well-being and mental health;
- Interested in training youth workers to involve them in non-formal education activities.
Partner’s role:
• to select, prepare and support participants to the training course with the following profile: artists, educators, youth workers/leaders, with an interest in working with creativity;
• to co-operate in each stage of the project;
•promote visibility and disseminate, share the project results, learning outcomes among people working with youth;
• to sign and send by email partnership agreement and all required documents.
