Call for European volunteers to manage mafia’s confiscated proprierty in Monreale

The Associazione di Promozione Sociale LINK, together with the association AGRISOCIAL, has obtained the assignment of a mafia’s property confiscated in Monreale (Palermo, Sicily, Italy). In this proprierty there are: a vandalized house and an uncultivated agricultural land.

The volunteers of this two associations are working to redevelop the confiscated property, in order to make it useful to the city and usable by its citizens. The goal is to make the proprierty become a polyvalent center and a co-working: the house will be home to a cultural, social, plural and multi-ethnic circle; the land will instead be used to create a social garden and a small educational farm.

The redevelopment works will be completed in September and, from that moment, the center will be able to host initiatives of any kind, such as conferences, seminars, film clubs, workshops, guided tours, meetings, aperitifs, after-school activities, etc.

The two associations, therefore, are looking for one or two European volunteers who can manage the multi-purpose center together with local volunteers, so that they can keep the structure open and usable every day.
