Call for Applicants - THE WITCHOPOLIS: Honoring Misunderstood Women and Outcasts | Contemporary Troublemakers Meet Their Historical Reflections in Temporal Crossroads

WITCHOPOLIS: Honoring Misunderstood Women and Outcasts. Where contemporary Troublemakers Meet Their Historical Reflections in Temporal Crossroads

The Witchopolis is a creative initiative that builds empathy and resilience among people often marginalized for their strength or speaking up. It spotlights the historical persecution and marginalization of women labeled as “witches” across Europe. Through a feminist lens, it seeks to link often silenced histories from the past to contemporary struggles around gender, social justice, and civic participation. By creating artistic, digital, and educational spaces—such as storytelling workshops, traveling exhibits, oral histories, and an interactive online “memory map”—the project aims to promote reflection, empowerment, and solidarity.
