Bread Route - Sustainable Bread Chain

Youth exchange to rediscover bread as a symbol of culture, tradition and sustainability through workshops and intercultural activities.

An intercultural journey through bread, identity, and sustainability

“Bread Route” is an Erasmus+ project that brings together young people from across Europe (ages 18–30) in the rural heart of Italy—Bondeno (Ferrara), In Spring 2026 a town known for its deep bread-making traditions and vibrant food culture.

Through hands-on baking workshops, creative group activities, and cultural exchange moments, participants will rediscover the meaning of bread in their own heritage while exploring key issues like food sustainability, health, and food waste.
