A project that uses Black Sea music to enable intercultural dialogue among young people through nature-based workshops and digital content
This project aims to bring together university students from different cultural and social backgrounds by focusing on the rich local music culture of the Black Sea region. Participants from diverse cultural and social backgrounds will be selected, giving priority to disadvantaged youth. The traditional Black Sea music workshops to be held throughout the project will not only support artistic production but will also be used as a tool to strengthen intercultural communication, promote social cohesion, and develop participants' communication skills.
Music will take place in the project both as a form of cultural expression and as a tool in nature-based workshops, activities, and group work. Thus, music will facilitate emotional bonding among participants and support cooperation and joint production in all activities carried out in interaction with nature and cultural elements.
Participants will experience different music genres in this project, which will take place in a camp environment surrounded by nature; they will develop their social skills through teamwork and creative workshops, and will have the opportunity to closely discover the cultural heritage of the Black Sea. The project will also include digital content creation; basic skills such as video and photo shooting will be supported, and young people will be encouraged to express their project experiences through digital means. In this way, participants will gain both creative and technical skills.
During the project, nature walks, sustainable living workshops, and environment-themed group activities will increase young people's environmental awareness and support their interaction with nature. Music will also be used in these nature-based activities to build bonds among participants and create shared emotions. All these experiences will contribute to the individual development of the participants as well as to their sense of social responsibility.
Expected Outputs and Results:
-Development of participants’ intercultural communication and social cohesion skills
-Promotion and preservation of the Black Sea's local music culture among young people
-Improvement of artistic and digital production skills (video, photography, content creation)
-Increase in sustainable living skills and environmental awareness
-Dissemination of participants’ international experiences within their own communities
Dissemination Strategies:
At the end of the project, digital content (videos, blog posts, social media posts) produced by participants will ensure that project experiences reach wider audiences. In addition, participants will be expected to contribute to the dissemination of outputs in their own countries. In this way, the impact of the project will not be limited to the project period and will continue to inspire other young people in the long term.
