This project's main objective is to explore and exploit the behind the scenes of a Erasmus plus project.
About the project
The proposed project will bring together a group of twenty people which daily work focus on the development of projects within the Erasmus plus programme. From having an idea to the submission of the application, each project writer and developer goes through a very specific and individual process. How the idea can be put in paper? Why is relevant and how to sustain it through theoretical argumentation? We should put ourselves on the shoes of the ones that will evaluate our application. Though, before we do that we should understand the rules, the perks, the rights and duties behind such programme. We aim to break down all this during this project, so more people can start benefiting from this project or more projects are developed with a long-lasting plan in mind.
Training in Portugal, 4-13 October 2017
To reach a bigger socio-cultural impact we plan a training in a rural area of Portugal. During this activity, the participants will have the unique opportunity to experience and explore the funding system developed by the European Union targeting young people. By creating a environment for sharing good practices between social workers, young leaders and youth workers, we aim to breakdown the process, brainstorm networking ideas and develop methods for long-lasting implementations.
Partner's tasks
As a partner, we will need you to firstly apply by sending us an email with the PIF; secondly, once selected, by signing and stamping the mandate; then, if the project is approved, by joining us to develop and design the program and a dissemination plan; finally, by selecting participants to be part of the aforementioned project.
Project background and outcome
Year after year, youth workers and young leaders have been facing the blank of a page, that moment when an idea seems to be nothing else than a dream. We all have been asked about our process, our methods and our goals, as much as we have questioned others. Though it seems that we are still a elite, a niche. Many youngsters are not aware of such opportunities, such perks, and such programs. Facing daily problems they start despairing for some kind of escapism and Erasmus plus might be a good first step.
By reuniting under the same roof twenty Erasmus plus facilitators, project writers and coordinators, as well as some newcomers to the subject, we aim to combine the skills of the formers and the raw curiosity and willingness of the others to create a step by step object focusing in breaking down the myths behind the funding system. This will lead the group to a brainstorming moment where ideas will flow and grow, and partnerships will be established according to long-lasting dissemination and implementation perspective.
If you would like to apply, send an email to miguel@nomadways.eu adding the name of the project as a subject.
