An experiential coastal learning journey with four stations focusing on arts, music, sports and cultural interaction for youth.
Black Sea Heritage Trail
Black Sea Heritage Trail is an international youth mobility project hosted by Fatsa Youth Center in Ordu, Türkiye, under the International Exchange Programme of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Türkiye.
The project aims to bring together young people or youth workers to explore how coastal routes, public spaces and local communities can become learning environments through youth participation and non-formal education.
Participants will experience a thematic learning route where each station focuses on a different field such as culture, music, arts, outdoor sports, volunteering and community engagement. Depending on the programme, activities may include hiking, cycling, workshops, institutional visits and outdoor learning experiences.
Rather than offering a fixed programme, we would like to co-design the project with our partner organisation. After hosting the first mobility in Ordu, Türkiye, we expect our partner to create a similar experience-based route in their own country, reflecting their local culture, nature, youth work practices and community.
This project may be implemented either as a Youth Exchange or a Youth Worker Exchange, depending on the profile of the partner organisation and the final application.
Hosting Model
The programme is based on reciprocal hosting.
When your group visits Türkiye, participants only need to arrange their international flight tickets. Accommodation, meals, local transportation and all project activities during the programme will be provided by the Turkish side through the Ministry's funding.
When the exchange takes place in your country, we kindly ask our partner organisation to host the Turkish group under similar conditions by providing accommodation, meals, local transportation and the local programme.
We welcome organisations interested in youth participation, non-formal education, culture, outdoor learning, sports and international cooperation, and we would be happy to develop this project together.
