Strengthening youth workers’ capacity to use visual and alternative expression methods for more inclusive, accessible and meaningful youth participation.
We are developing a KA153 project aimed at strengthening the capacity of youth workers working with young people aged 13–18 to design and implement more inclusive and accessible youth work activities for young people experiencing communication and participation barriers.
Our project focuses on integrating visual and alternative forms of expression into youth work practice, enabling youth workers to design and implement inclusive and participatory activities using these approaches, and strengthening their capacity in this area. We will support this process through experiential learning, peer learning, practice, observation, reflection and action planning, with the aim of enabling youth workers to work more inclusively and meaningfully with young people with diverse needs.
Partner Profile We Are Looking For:
We are particularly interested in youth work organisations, youth centres, NGOs and public youth organisations that:
- Work directly and regularly with young people aged 13–18,
- Have experience working with young people experiencing communication or participation barriers, or are motivated to develop their capacity in this area,
- Have practical experience in inclusive youth work, meaningful youth participation, non-formal learning or accessible communication,
- Are open to using visual, creative, experiential or alternative forms of expression,
- Are willing to transfer the methods developed through the project into their own youth work practice.
What we are especially looking for: not simply an organisation that can send participants to the project, but an active partner able to contribute its own youth work experience, methods and practices to the project’s learning process.
Interested organisations are invited to share a brief profile of their organisation, their target groups, youth work experience and the contribution they could bring to the project.
