BEYOND BORDERS: Towards a More Connected Europe Through Language

The Bridging Borders project seeks to foster intercomprehension and intercultural dialogue among young people across Europe, using the continent's linguistic and cultural diversity as a foundation. The project aims to create a platform for young participants to engage in mutual understanding, respect, and collaboration, thereby strengthening social cohesion and promoting active European citizenship.

OBJECTIVES:
- Promote Non-Formal Language Learning: The project leverages the linguistic and cultural similarities among European languages to facilitate non-formal language learning, improving cross-cultural communication.
- Enhance Cultural Awareness: By challenging stereotypes and promoting inclusion, the project enriches participants’ appreciation of European cultural diversity and encourages values of tolerance and inclusivity.
- Empower Active European Citizens: The project prepares young people to become engaged European citizens, aware of their rights and responsibilities, and motivated to contribute to a more united and inclusive Europe.
- Develop Key Competencies: Through non-formal education in a multicultural environment, the project cultivates essential skills such as intercultural communication, teamwork, conflict resolution, and empathy.
- Build a Sustainable Youth Network: Establishing a network of young participants and youth organizations, the project aims to encourage ongoing cooperation and sharing of best practices beyond its duration.

METHODOLOGY:
By adopting an inclusive and participatory approach, Bridging Borders ensures that young participants actively contribute to their learning experiences, fostering a supportive and reflective environment. The project’s emphasis on experiential learning and non-formal education further enhances participants' personal and professional growth, equipping them with essential skills for future employability and societal engagement.
