BeTween festival

Between performing arts festival with 5 young performance groups aged 14-18

Scene N is a Danish contemporary performance company creating performing arts with and by youth (ages 14–18). Following our highly successful debut festival in 2025, we are taking BETWEEN Festival 2.0 to the next level. Instead of a traditional urban festival, we are creating an intensive 5-day artistic residency and camp at the beautiful, dedicated venue Teater Møn, located in the scenic nature of Møn.
We are looking for two reliable European youth theater companies or cultural organizations to join us as partners for our upcoming Erasmus+ application in October 2026.
The Concept:
We want to break away from the traditional festival model where groups simply travel, perform, and leave. Instead, BETWEEN 2.0 is designed as a collaborative artistic laboratory and camp. Your youth group (approx. 10 youth participants aged 14–18 + 1–2 adult leaders) will:
Live, eat, and create art together with Danish and European peers at the residency.
Perform your own contemporary youth production 1–2 times during the week for both the residency participants and the local community.
Engage in active peer-to-peer workshops, artist talks, and a large-scale public site-specific event in the local town.
Be part of an active Youth Board, allowing the young participants to co-create and host the festival's debates and daily activities.
Aims and Themes:
Using theater as a tool, the residency focuses on active artistic citizenship, promoting mental well-being, and strengthening the voices of young people in Europe. It is a space for informal learning, where youth can investigate, engage with, and impact the world around them through performance.
What We Offer (Fully Funded via Erasmus+):
Scene N acts as the lead partner and will handle all administration, logistics, and financial reporting. Through the Erasmus+ grant, we will fully cover:
Travel costs to and from Teater Møn (with extra support for green travel).
Full accommodation and all meals during the entire 5-day residency.
An artist fee/honorarium for your group’s professional director/instructor.
Free access to all workshops, international shows, and our professional network seminar for adult leaders.
Partner Profile:
We are looking for youth theater groups, youth clubs, or cultural NGOs working actively with performing arts and youth empowerment. You must be able to commit to the Erasmus+ application process in September/October 2026 and send an active, creative youth group to Denmark in April 2027.
