Before natural events turn into natural disasters

We would like to come together for a comprehensive youth exchange project to discuss the measures to be taken against the adverse natural events that develop due to global climate change, as well as the earthquakes that occur especially in our country (Turkey). We will meet with our partners to discuss the steps to be taken before or after the natural events occurring all over the world, especially in Europe, from turning into disasters. In particular, we will bring together young people who are experienced in search and rescue, first aid, setting up living spaces, tent-shack establishment or who want to gain skills in these fields. In this way, we aim to create teams that can carry out the necessary aid activities in order to prevent possible natural events (such as earthquake-flood-drought) from turning into disasters and to keep the damages that may occur at the maximum level, and to make them ready for interventions. We will make the partner country participants ready to conduct regular exercises with information on equipment, equipment and how to use all of them. During the project, we will create volunteer cadres in various countries (partners) at a level that can immediately respond to possible disasters, and we will carry out direct or practical studies. In addition to the physically ready search and rescue teams, particular attention will be given to women participants in order to carry out cookery, child and women's rehabilitation services and first aid activities that will create post-disaster living spaces.
