Beehave School (Permaculture Resource Center)

We want to create a Resource Center for people who want to make the transition to a fully sustainable living situation on their homestead.

We want to create a Resource Center for holding both theoretical and practical permaculture-related workshops that are focused on people who want to make the transition and move from the city to off-grid, fully sustainable living.

The reason we want to do this project is that there is a need for it. In the last few years, there has been a change in the migration patterns of the citizens of Romania, if before the pandemic people tended to move from the countryside to the city now the situation has been reversed.

Unfortunately, 70% of the people who make the move from the city to the countryside are underprepared for the realities of living in rural areas, exhaust their financial resources within the first year, and are forced to go back to the city.

We want to help those people better manage their finances and manage their expectations in a way that will ensure their move has a better chance to be successful.

The geographical location of this project is still to be determined but it will be located in the countryside of Romania. For more details on our plans for this project please check out this short presentation: https://www.canva.com/design/DAFdKyektYw/nRiuqFNqX6skmVE1AMuWUQ/view?utm_content=DAFdKyektYw&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link2&utm_source=sharebutton

We want to hold several different types of workshops, all having both a theoretical and practical aspect. From themes such as how to build with hempcrete and how to pick the land to build on, to build a veggie garden, a food forest, and how to make compost and achieve a zero-waste closed-loop consumption system.

Our project will include habitat restoration activities and sustainable food growing systems to showcase as examples all while showing people how to do it themselves on their own land.

We aim to create a stronger local community that can serve as an example of small, resilient, and sustainable communities.

We are looking for a collaborative partnership to apply for the K2 Erasmus+ funding opportunity. We would love to collaborate with a more experienced organization in regard to gaining funding for Erasmus+ programs.
