KA153 about Forum Theatre, its applicability and adaptability for various contexts.

Place: Jastrzębia Góra, Poland (seaside)

Dates and duration: 7 working days +2 travel days, September 2027 (specific dates will be decided after the project is approved).

Aim:
To introduce youth workers to Forum Theatre method, as a method of intervention and enquiry into challenges faced by youth and youth workers themselves and to equip them with practical embodied techniques of learning about issues the youth is facing as well as of supporting them.

What will you receive?
- A method, which supports the agency of each person involved without proposing ready made solutions, that shifts the facilitators role into that of a supportive accompaniment into personal experience of challenges.
- A method that can find applications in resolving conflicts as well as an enquiry into obscure invisible issues; tackling signs of imbalance in structures of workplaces, education, interpersonal that are not supportive;
- Experiential understanding of the principles and premises of the Forum Theatre method
- Understanding and practicing the Forum Theatre Joker role and its applicability in facilitating dialogue in the context of a classroom; for discussion; or conflict of views
- Wider contexts for applying the Theatre Forum method to digital spaces (Digital Forum Theatre)
- Practical applied drama tools and exercises for warm ups, which can be easily applied outside of the theatrical context
- Space and community to share your experiences; difficulties as well as success stories of youth work in different cultural contexts with peers from various European countries.
- An international network of educators, trainers, facilitators and youth workers, who shared the experience with you, for further support and motivation in applying the method learnt
- Foundations for building deeper, more satisfactory and authentic relationships with young people in a long term; relationships that are based in mutual understanding of respect, equality and compassion

Who can apply?
Organisation:
- from Erasmus + Programme Countries (Member States of the EU and Third countries associated to the Programme: North Macedonia Serbia Iceland Liechtenstein Norway Türkiye),
- registered in the ORS of Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps platform (having a valid OID number)
- working with young people on daily basis, open to paradigm shift in the habitual or learnt approaches to conflict or imbalance, that are opening dialogues and give support to all parties involved regardless of the assignment of blame

Partner’s responsibilities:
- When selected, fill in the needs analysis survey (2 people from the organisation)
- Sign the Accession Form
Select 2-3 representatives, members or associates of the organization
- After the training, support the selected participants in organising dissemination workshop
- Support the coordinating organisation in visibility of the project and dissemination of the project results
