Be a dab hand at Youth Worker !

In the consideration of need analysis results, Karabük University – with 31,117 students- and the city of Karabük have been determined insufficient in the area of youth information and youth work. On the purpose of increasing the capacity in the field of youth work as well as ensuring the youth information continuity, Karabuk University was accredited as a Eurodesk Contact Point in 2013. EURODESK Contact Point continues their works voluntarily associated with International Relation Office and Project Support Office. In this process, our youth workers have participated in various conferences and briefings which were held by Turkish National Agency and they have reflected their experiences and knowledge to Karabuk University successfully. However, due to being newly accredited EURODESK Office and having very large number of students, we have realized that we need a training course consisted of youth information and using Non-formal education methods from more experienced EURODESK Contact Point or experienced Youth Organization. Through this project, our youth workers will both take a training course from youth workers who are expert in their field and have an opportunity to experience the good practices. The main objective of our project is to promote the participation of the youth into society by improving the quality and function of youth work thanks to the training course taken from our partner and acquired experiences and competences.
