BALKANnova Vol. 01 - TC for Youth Workers || Call for partners

KA153 - Mobility for Youth Workers partners already found from GR, BA, AL, TR, SE

The Balkans are renowned for poor management of diversity rather for the coexistence of its peoples, although both form part of its history. Yet, this mixture of races and beliefs, qualified by many as “explosive”, has emerged throughout history as quite a homogenous modus vivendi. The final partner group demonstrates a language origin plurality, cultural, ethnic, societal and sociopolitical commons and differences across the historical timeline, which links to common cross-cultural conceptualization; all those different lifestyle conditions are expected to support a) interesting dialogues across traditional fairytails, b) intercultural lifelong learning though learning by doing traditional sport games & c) competitive environments between mixed nationality groups in outdoor adventurous & leisure sports (Slavic, Latin, Finno-Ugric, Greek, Turkish).

The idea of establishing a training course is much more visionary that it seems. It is an extention and concerns a continuity of partnerships that have been established since 2019. This attempt of establishing partnerships and keeping strong bonds with balkan countries is evident throughout our recently established common website environment engaging the domain www.balkanizer.org. We are focusing on facets and topics of common interest that have an innovative perspective concerning mainly the context of cooperation, keeping similar the content with other platforms. Thus, the methodological approach, the multidimentionality and plurality of topics' analysis and the restriction of implicating youth and youth workers is somehow giving a unique impact and an attractive profile to our vision.

The first training course concerns to the establishment of a common basis of the Youth Workers, who will follow with several relevant actions and activities, using sports and arts for connecting youth, embracing them to the new social challenges, supporting, reflecting and giving feedback to their needs and expectations under a unified mode of Balkan and European Youth Society.

Finally, sports and arts, as a median of nurturing youth and reforming a contemporary sociocultural status that will work for all, concerning life opportunities and quality of life is surely much of promising as a pedagogic tool, it is just that through trainings those tools could be applied properly and with substantial impact as to provide the final expected sociocultural outcomes.
