Balkanik Fest-Balkan Cultural Festival for Social Inclusion

Celebrating Balkan music, dance, gastronomy, and tourism, promoting diversity and inclusion, supporting vulnerable children and those with disabilities.

Balkanik Fest is a cultural festival dedicated to Balkan music, dance, gastronomy, and tourism. The event will bring together participants from across Europe, promoting cultural diversity, intercultural education, and social inclusion. The main goal of the festival is to create a space where young people and vulnerable communities, including children with disabilities, can actively participate in educational and recreational activities.
During the four days of the festival, various interactive workshops will take place, focusing on Balkan traditions, folk dances, Balkan cooking, and promoting local tourism. The festival will also include a series of educational activities for vulnerable children, including learning sessions through games and creative workshops, contributing to their social and educational development. Balkanik Fest aims to support the social inclusion of children with disabilities by creating an accessible and inclusive environment for all participants. The festival will also contribute to the development of a cultural and sports center in Stoenești, Vâlcea, which will serve as an international camp for young people and children from all over the world. This camp will offer young people from different cultures the opportunity to learn and develop, fostering a European spirit of unity and collaboration.
Through the organization of this festival and the international camp, the project will address the need for social inclusion and intercultural education, supporting young people and children from disadvantaged and vulnerable backgrounds. The project will also promote sustainable tourism and support the local economy, creating opportunities for young people to learn about Balkan culture and traditions.
Balkanik Fest will not only bring together young people from various parts of Europe, but it will also be a meeting point for organizations and institutions that promote youth education and development, offering the possibility to establish long-lasting international partnerships.
