ArtCycling

With this project we aim to raise awareness about Up-cycling.

With this project we are going to address the topic of up-cycling in an interactive way and various dimensions. This TC aims to equip youth workers, trainers and youth leaders with practical skills to develop their own training and promote UP-cycling.

7-day Training course (excluding travel days) will take place in Maastricht in November 2016 (dates to be confirmed). The main activity will be followed by workshops in participating counties to multiply learning outcomes;

Objectives of the project:
- Raise awareness of youth about up-cycling;
- Equip youth leaders and youth workers with key skills and competences around the topic of up-cycling;
- To promote European values, active citizenship and environmental-friendly lifestyle;
- Foster cooperation and sharing experience of organisations on the topic;
- Design and implement local campaigns in the Eurregion Maas-Rhijn(during the main activity) and beyond(after) to promote up-cycling in participating countries;
- Develop guidelines for organisations to use in their work and promotion of up-cycling;
- Strengthen the existing network of environmental organisations, which in future will result in strategic partnership;
- Foster quality improvements in youth work, in particular through enhancing cooperation between art and environmental NGOs.

We are looking for partner organisations, willing to get on board of the idea. Note, that we are looking for organisations willing to actively work and contribute to dissemination of the project.

Project overview

ArtCycling is a project by
Youth for Mobility
taking place
from 2016-10-01 till 2017-03-19
This project relates to:
Training and Networking
This project can include young people with fewer opportunities like
  • Educational difficulties
  • Cultural differences
Differences is something we can learn and benefit from, therefore we are going to make the projet accessible to everyone, since up- and re- cycling skills are relevant for all members of society. We are going to encourage youth workers who work with people with fewer opportunities, as well as those with fewer opportunities to participate.
