Are we really social with social media? Most people engage with social media without stopping to think what the effects are on their lives.
We are looking for partners from "public" vocational high schools for our project KA229 School Exchange Partnetship that is about Social Media disadvantages.
Are we really social with social media? Most people and our students we know that check and interact on social sites constantly throughout the day. And they have no idea how much actual time they spend on social media. In this sense, most of the major social network companies and their content creators, are working hard every day to make their networks so addictive that can't be resisted. There is growing evidence that social media addiction is an evolving problem, particularly among adolescents. We are concerned that our adolescents are losing out on the ability to learn about and read social relations. Another important thing, they are exposed digital bullying and sexual objects. We think that these are make them more aggressive and have some disorder behavior. In addition, their mental health’s and well-being’s are affected. For this reason, what can we do for our students as an educator? Our students need to learn how to spend free time without looking at a screen. And with less screen time, they have to find more opportunity to learn how to relax and use leisure time.
We are looking for partners from PUBLIC vocational high schools that is interested in about this issue from different regions in Europe to be able to compare data’s which have been collected with "Social Media Disorder Scale" about our country with other cultures.
