“Fifty Shades of Mind” is an Erasmus+ youth exchange focused on increasing awareness of the importance of an active lifestyle and mental health
As mental health problems continue to rise among young people in Europe, the youth exchange project "Fifty Shades of Mind" aims to promote the importance of an active lifestyle and raise awareness about physical and mental well-being. Mental health conditions remain stigmatized in many societies, which can lead to discrimination and social exclusion for those who suffer from them. Engaging in physical activities and adopting healthy habits can facilitate ethical and environmental awareness, improve mental health outcomes, as well as foster cultural acceptance and social inclusion.
Given the common challenges related to physical activity and mental health, the "Fifty Shades of Mind" project aims to empower young people with practical tools and healthy strategies to make positive lifestyle changes, while fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages them to prioritize their mental and physical health. Therefore, the objectives of the project are:
• Increase awareness of the significance of mental health and active lifestyles among 30 young people from 5 different countries.
• Enhance the resilience of 30 young people from 5 different countries by providing them with practical tools and strategies to manage stress, overcome barriers to physical activity, tackle stigma and mental health challenges;
• Foster creativity and self-expression through outdoor and experiential learning activities.
The Youth Exchange “Fifty Shades of Mind” will bring together 30 participants (5 participants and 1 group leader in each national team). The project will involve participants from the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Spain (18-30 years old)
