URBAN REMEDY: gardening as youth work tool in neglected suburban areas

Finally, we, a dedicated team under Kulturlabor Trial & Error umbrella, are ready to apply for ERASMUS+ capacity building project on youth work in neglected suburban areas, urban gardening and social media. We want to network amongst urban gardening initiatives in field of youth work, gather massive base of methodological and theoretical materials, empower youngsters from the suburbs and spread the word.

Planned activities:
P1 youth worker mobility - in parner country - contact making, cooperation agreements, methodology.
P2 - local volunteering - in each partner country - serries of 6 meetups on topics arrouns urban gardening, non formal education methods, target group - youth,
P3 - youth exchange - in program country - with up to 5 participants sent by each project partner - intercultural loearning, hands on gardening, brainstorming, social media,
P4 - local volunteering activities - youth workers mentoring the local youngsters implementing 6 practical gardening workshops, accompanied by social media campaign,
P5 - learning outcomes, follow up and evaluation - in partner country - with representatives from each partner organisation.

We are looking for reliable and dedicated project partners with experience, ideas and strong affiliation to the project ideas

We are looking for partners from
a) Southern Mediterranean countries Region 3,
b) ACPALA countries - Region 5-13

with
- affinity with environmental activism, community building, youth work areas,
- at least 1 year experience in actual gardening space in an urban neighbourhood (NB! due to limited cappacity we will not be able to respond to partner requests without this condition),
- at least 2 years experience in youth work,
- at least 1 year official organisation status,
- PIC number,
- partnership with local stakeholders (schools, municipality, youth centre etc).
