A transnational artistic initiative confronting polarisation through feminist re-interpretations of classical tragedy “Antigone”
Dear Esteemed Partners,
We are currently seeking partners to join USB in our Creative Europe - Culture/Small Scale proposal which reimagines Sophocles’ Antigone through a feminist and anti-totalitarian lens to confront growing polarisation in Europe.
The project combines transnational co-creation residencies, community-based art, and traveling performances and exhibitions to elevate women’s voices and stimulate dialogue on gender equality and its connection to battling polarisation through visual arts and theatre. Through participatory workshops, site-specific reinterpretations of Antigone, and collective storytelling, we aim to create space for artistic expression, community engagement, and political reflection.
We are particularly interested in partnering with organizations located in Germany, Poland, Hungary or Slovakia, that:
Work in the fields of theatre or visual arts and activism/artivism.
Are connected to marginalised or underrepresented communities.
Might have proven experience with artistic residencies, community-based workshops, curating exhibitions etc and/or proven previous experience in creative europe-culture or KA2 projects.
Can contribute to local dissemination, audience development, or capacity-building, mainly, for female artists and youth in their area.
Below, you can find the google form to express your interest and connection to the topic.

If your organization resonates with the project's themes and goals, we would love to hear from you and explore collaboration opportunities.
Selected organisations will receive via email, the concept note and further details.
Let’s utilise the power of art to make a positive social impact!
Warm regards,
The U.S.B. Team
