About the Project "ANTIGONE"
ANTIGONE is a collaborative European artistic creation inspired by the timeless Greek myth, reinterpreted through the lens of today’s major social and political issues: civic engagement, freedom of conscience, civil disobedience, gender equality, human rights, and more.

The project mobilizes young European artists around an innovative stage production combining:
-Theatre: acting, physical and vocal work, and contemporary storytelling of the myth
-Scenography and Costume Design: symbolic visual creation with an eco-responsible approach
-Original live music, composed and coordinated by the Club pour l’UNESCO Jean Laurain – Metz

ANTIGONE includes artistic residencies, training sessions, intercultural workshops, and a local tour in each participating country, fostering artistic exchange and collective creativity.

Partners Sought
We are looking for two types of partner organizations based in Europe (outside France):
1. Francophone theatre school, drama conservatory, company or association to:
-Supervise a group of young actors
-Participate in the contemporary rewriting of the Antigone myth
-Co-create the stage direction alongside other partners
-Take part in residencies and exchanges

Essential criterion: Activities in theatre will be conducted exclusively in French; thus, partner must be francophone.

2. Costume or scenography school or collective (no language requirement) to:
-Design the visual universe of the project
-Work with young people on textile creation, set design, or scenography
-Participate in mobility activities (workshops/residencies)

The Club pour l’UNESCO Jean Laurain – Metz will coordinate the project and oversee all musical direction including sound creation, musical coordination, and artistic supervision.

À propos du projet « ANTIGONE »
ANTIGONE est une création artistique européenne collaborative, inspirée du mythe grec intemporel, réinterprété à travers les enjeux sociaux et politiques contemporains : engagement citoyen, liberté de conscience, désobéissance civile, égalité femmes-hommes, droits humains, etc.
Le projet mobilise de jeunes artistes européens autour d’une création scénique innovante mêlant :
• Théâtre : interprétation, travail corporel et vocal, narration contemporaine du mythe
• Scénographie et costumes : création visuelle symbolique avec une démarche éco-responsable
• Musique live originale, composée et coordonnée par le Club pour l’UNESCO Jean Laurain – Metz
ANTIGONE comprend des résidences artistiques, des sessions de formation, des ateliers interculturels et une tournée locale dans chaque pays participant, favorisant ainsi les échanges artistiques et la création collective.

Partenaires recherchés
Nous recherchons deux types de structures partenaires basées en Europe (hors France) :
1. École de théâtre, conservatoire d’art dramatique, compagnie ou association francophone pour :
-Encadrer un groupe de jeunes comédiens
-Participer à la réécriture contemporaine du mythe d’Antigone
-Coconstruire la mise en scène avec les autres partenaires
-Participer aux résidences et échanges
Critère indispensable : Les activités théâtrales se dérouleront exclusivement en français, la structure doit donc être francophone.

2. École ou collectif spécialisé en costumes/scénographie (sans exigence de langue) pour :
-Concevoir l’univers visuel du projet
-Travailler avec les jeunes sur la création textile, le décor ou la scénographie
-Participer aux mobilités (ateliers, résidences)
Le Club pour l’UNESCO Jean Laurain – Metz coordonnera le projet et assurera toute la direction musicale : création sonore, coordination musicale et encadrement artistique.
