This project can include young people with fewer opportunities like
- Social obstacles
- Economic obstacles
- Disability
- Health problems
There are approximately 5 million disabled people in our country and 1 billion people worldwide. The problems experienced by disabled citizens are not only caused by the obstacles they have, but also unfortunately, they face many negativities such as exclusion and contempt by other people due to these disabilities. Many disabled individuals, who have been trying to overcome these situations since their early ages but give up after a certain period of time, isolate themselves from the outside world and come to a state of severing their ties with the outside world. Serdar Şahin, who frequently experiences such situations and has Down Syndrome, is a citizen living in the Çamlıdere District of Ankara, where our association carries out its activities, and is deeply devoted to Çamlıdere Spor. So much so that this commitment made Serdar one of the leading names of the tribune and became the cheerleader of the tribune. Serdar, who was praised by his surroundings, also gained self-confidence and started to continue his life in a more productive and positive way. From this point of view, with the information we obtained as a result of the studies we carried out with our association and our partners, it is possible for disabled citizens who are involved in sports to make great changes in their lives and to continue their lives as active citizens. In our project, which was carried out with different groups from different settlements, different studies were carried out in order to include our participants in sports. We can briefly mention these activities as follows.
1) Sports Introduction Meeting: At the beginning of this meeting held in Ankara Yenimahalle District, the center of our association, what our program is and what the Erasmus+ and Structured Dialogue projects cover were mentioned. Assoc. Dr. Our teacher Hayrettin Gümüşdağ conducted a workshop on the diversity of sports and the benefits that participation in sports will bring to human life. In addition, together with our participants, we were guests in their halls to see what the disabled table tennis is and to meet the athletes. Tournaments and competitions were organized with our participants,
2) Let's Go to Sports Meeting: In the Let's Sports meeting, where the dialogue between our participants and licensed and disabled athletes participating in our project is the most intense in Kırıkkale Keskin, information on how our athletes who will be included in our project came to this position to our young disabled participants, and what changes have happened in their lives after they got over their obstacles and started sports. and group work. In this way, we have taken a step towards being a role model for our participants. Many coaches, former football players, basketball players and sports writers participated in this workshop and they carried out joint studies with the participants in our workshops.
The afternoon process of our program, in which the participants and notables from our fan groups will meet, started with Amigo Serdar telling about his life and how he became the cheerleader of Çamlıdere Spor's fan group. In this meeting, which was generally in a conversational mood, the participants from the fan group played football for our disabled participants and a football match was organized between the METU amputee team and our participants. A small city tour and cave tour in Kırıkkale Keskin were also made during our workshop.
3) Final Meeting: Our meeting held in Aksaray Ağaçören District, an evaluation meeting was held with all the participants in the process and the participants went to the stadiums and halls to watch sports competitions by the managers and fans.
In our workshop held in Aksaray Ağaçören, we held workshops with our faculty members and participants about increasing and disseminating the participation of disabled people in life by all means. Our documentary film, which we finished shooting and editing, was interpreted by professionals in the field from TRT as participants, and our documentary film, which was edited on the basis of these suggestions, was shared in the necessary media and social media organs.
In addition, we had the opportunity to witness the city and its many beauties with our participants by organizing a tour of historical places and Ihlara Valley at the Aksaray leg of our workshops.
After the meeting, participant certificates, plaques and awards were presented to the participants.
*It is aimed that our project will be a light for many new projects related to the subject to be done by keeping the reports prepared as a result of the 3 meetings and studies being recorded and shared with the necessary channels.
*With our completed handbook and documentary film, dissemination efforts will continue through social media accounts.
*A total of 180 participants, 65 of which were participants, and volunteers and a total of more than 210 participants attended each workshop of our project. Floor
