Alkistis

In KEAN we would like to implement a Youth in Action project with the participation of Eastern Europe and Caucasus. The project is called “Alkistis” meaning in ancient Greek “the grace of family”. The topic of the project is family and traditions in the promoter’s countries. We wish to develop an intercultural dialogue through exchange of the habits and costumes within a typical family of the promoter’s countries. We aim at raising awareness about the culture and mentality of each country, combating racism, prejudices and xenophobia.
Thirteen (30) participants from countries of the EU and Eastern Europe and Caucasus will live together for one week in the area of Laconia, Peloponesse. Team building activities, presentations, intercultural activities, study visits are among of the projects actions.
