Youth exchange on responsible AI use and digital citizenship. A space for learning, dialogue and practical tools for everyday life and work.
AI Future Lab: From Awareness to Readiness is a youth exchange project designed to support young people in understanding, using and critically reflecting on Artificial Intelligence in everyday life, education, work and civic participation.
Through non-formal education methods, the project raises AI literacy and helps participants become more aware citizens and future workers in a rapidly changing digital society. The exchange focuses on building critical thinking skills to distinguish reliable information from misinformation, understand how AI systems work, and recognise their limits and risks.
Participants explore the social, ethical and environmental impacts of AI, with special attention to employment and future skills, inclusion and discrimination (bias, accessibility, unequal access), and sustainability (energy consumption, data use and electronic waste). The project encourages reflection on responsibility, human decision-making and the role of young people in shaping fair and transparent digital systems.
The programme combines interactive workshops, simulations, group discussions and collaborative activities, allowing participants to experiment with AI tools while learning how to use them responsibly. A strong practical focus supports the development of tools applicable to study, work and everyday digital life, including fact-checking strategies, ethical guidelines and personal learning pathways.
By the end of the project, young people are better prepared to face digital transformation with critical awareness, ethical understanding and practical readiness, contributing to more inclusive, informed and sustainable communities.
