AGRO-VET

AGRO-VET is an inclusive vocational training initiative designed to equip diverse learners, including disadvantaged communities and VET participants, with modern sustainable farming skills. The program integrates precision agriculture, IoT-based irrigation, greenhouse management, and eco-friendly farming techniques, ensuring that participants gain hands-on experience while embracing innovative agricultural technologies. Through collaboration with agricultural cooperatives, vocational training providers, and industry experts, AGRO-VET fosters practical skill development and employment opportunities in the agricultural sector.

The project features a blended learning approach, combining field-based training with digital tools, allowing participants to engage in drone-assisted monitoring, farm automation, smart irrigation, and organic food production. A digital e-portfolio system will track learners' progress, assess competencies, and connect them with potential employers. To ensure accessibility, AGRO-VET incorporates multi-sensory learning materials and adaptive farming environments, making sustainable agriculture an inclusive and viable career path for a diverse range of participants.

Beyond training, AGRO-VET promotes inclusive employment policies, industry engagement, and community-driven farming initiatives. By working closely with policymakers, agribusinesses, and rural development agencies, the project aims to bridge the gap between vocational training and labor market demands. AGRO-VET will culminate in an Agro-Fair, where participants will showcase their agricultural skills, present their produce, and connect with potential employers, ensuring long-term sustainability, inclusion, and economic empowerment in the farming sector.
