Youth exchange in Mediterranean countries in order to increase the activity of young farmers related to the theme of sustainable development in agriculture.

The agricultural sector of the European Union is facing a demographic challenge - a shortage of young farmers, and it calls into a question of the long-term sustainability. Many socio-economic factors, such as reduced availability of land, credit and lack of rural infrastructure, further complicates their business and therefore need stronger support to young people in overcoming the economic and market barriers to entry in the agricultural branch or continue existing business.
One of the main goals of the project is the exchange of practice participants from Mediterranean countries in order to increase the activity related to the theme of sustainable development in agriculture, which are innovative and market-oriented. Sustainable agricultural development is important because it strengthens the eco-conscious approach to the management of natural resources, apply good agricultural practices, carried out development and applied research, establishing cooperation with professional and scientific institutions in agriculture and encourages action and functioning of public services in agriculture.
Furthermore, the project aims to raise awareness on issues that is the problems with which young farmers are today with. Viewpoint eaten countries, work will be on finding compliant solutions over the possibilities of the international association and action at EU level.
Also, the project will seek to ensure better recognition of competences acquired during the implementation of the project that will enable young farmers to serve as a tool and guidance of personal development as well as innovative development of its economy in the future.

The project objectives will :
• Increased awareness of participants about diversity management farms in the peninsula, as well as in all other Mediterranean countries and with the exchange of experience, discussion and conclusions become familiar with the ways of implementation of projects ideas in farms in all areas covered by the exchange
• Improving language skills through constant communication during the project
• Increased awareness of how young farmer is important in the overall economy in the EU, and adhere to the principles with which the EU funds and other support can help develop their economies
• Defined ways of managing innovation across all agricultural sectors, where advances in agricultural technology make an important contribution to sustainable agricultural system that promotes continuous improvement and less use of resources
• Improved networking of young farmers at the local and international level in order to better act through different nedormalne and formal
• Greater gaining consciousness and openness to youth exchanges (travel) for the purpose of acquiring new competencies and experience
• The collaborative relationship of young farmers with the representatives of all local governments in our area
• Increased ability to address the specific problems faced by young people who are located in geographically isolated areas
• Increased motivation of participants for future growth and development of their vision, which will go through agriculture branch
