Unemployment happens! It´s an universal problem that affects all Europe, especially young people. Any person can be a victim of this social problem, it doesn´t matter his/her age, gender, profession, social, cultural and economic background. Europe sees that young people are the bigger victims of unemployment and wants to change this situation. Agriculture, can be a field to invest in and an option to fight this problem. Due to this, Inovterra, decided to create the project #Agri(european)culture, that will pay special attention to the situation of youngsters as victims of unemployment and as Agriculture being an opportunity for young people to have the chance to enter the labour market. Besides this, this project will highlight the importance of Biological Agricultural, Food waist and food safety, themes really important nowadays and for Europe and its citizens. This project that is a Youth Exchange, aims to gather 30 youngsters from different cultural and social backgrounds, 4 participants plus 1 leader, in the city of Valdares from the 7th of November till the 13th of November of 2016. #Agro(european)culture” will promote participant´s social and personal awareness about this matters. All will have the chance to discuss, share and understand together the all phenomenas, its causes, consequences, how to face it, and, how is felt and seen within the European Context. For that, Inovterra will promote the active participation of all involved through educational non formal methods, like: workshops, seminars, team-building games, experts opinions about the problem, connected to the themes of: Agriculture, Biological Agriculture, wasting food and food safety. Participants will also have the opportunity to plant plants in a monastic garden and organize a street theater about the unemployment and Agriculture as a chance to work, a march against food waist and a flashmob about Erasmus+ programme. Unemployment is still happening! With this project, we plan to make a difference and to show together that Agriculture is for all, and a chance to fight unemployment.
