Active Resilience is a KA152 youth exchange in Türkiye; it boosts youth resilience via disaster awareness, first aid, stress management, and outdoor learning.
Active Resilience is a hands-on Erasmus+ KA152 youth exchange that strengthens young people’s disaster preparedness and resilience. The programme blends core first aid, disaster awareness, crisis communication, psychological resilience, and outdoor/team-building practice. Through workshops, simulations, outdoor activities, and local stakeholder visits, participants learn by doing and co-create media outputs (e.g., posters, short videos) for dissemination. Intercultural learning boosts leadership, problem-solving, and collaboration. Inclusion and green practices (low-carbon travel, waste reduction) are embedded throughout. All participants receive a Youthpass.
Project Objectives (EN)
- During the project, enable at least 32 young people (18–30) to conduct risk analyses on different types of disasters and to learn basic first-aid techniques through practical exercises.
- Ensure measurable progress in stress/panic management, post-trauma support, and group coordination—at least one level improvement from the baseline (e.g., on a 1–5 scale).
- Provide hands-on training in practical topics such as first aid, outdoor survival, and preparing an emergency kit.
- Build skills to control panic and anxiety that arise during disasters through stress management and basic psychological support approaches.
- Raise awareness of the effective use of social media in disasters, highlighting the role of young people in crisis communication.
- Prepare a “Youth Handbook for Disaster Resilience” and make it openly accessible, so the technical/practical knowledge gained is available to all stakeholders, including youth in disadvantaged areas.
- Develop and deliver a presentation titled “Evaluating Erasmus+ Youth Projects in the Context of Disaster Resilience: The Active Resilience Case”, sharing analysis of pre- and post-test results to model similar projects and serve as a reference on national/international platforms.
- Foster intercultural learning and mutual understanding.
- Strengthen young people’s sense of democracy and active citizenship.
- Promote a culture of solidarity and cooperation aligned with European values.
