Active Citizenship: Empowering Euro-American Young Entrepreneurs

Will work on empowerment of youngsters, promoting youth employment, sustainable employability and inclusive economy through non formal education.

Associação Cidadania Viva (ACV) and Raise It Now (RIN) are preparing an application under action 3.2 of the
Youth in Action Programme and we are looking for partners organizations to join us.

SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT: Considering the growing flexibility of economies, the rapid pace of
technological change and the pressure of competition generated by globalization, it is increasingly
acknowledge that to avoid the risk of large-scale marginalization; societies should encourage the development
of entrepreneurial skills among their younger members. The opportunity set for entrepreneurial activities
differs from country to country, depending on the structure of local demand, but Youth entrepreneurship
should not be seen as a magic cure of youth unemployment: We need active citizenship, attitude,
international cooperation, sharing of good practices.

With this partnership ACV and Raise It Now and the involved partners will work on the empowerment of
young people to obtain a better future for themselves, personally and professionally. These project intents to
promote a structured dialogue focus on youth employment, sustainable employability and inclusive economy
between. Through non formal education we'll train youngsters on several important issues such as
entrepreneurship, personal marketing, employability soft-skills, leadership and management skills. For this
we'll offer a variety of training courses, creativity workshops, youth meetings to discuss youth policies, job
shadowing moments to empower youngsters that can be active multipliers in their local communities.

Some of the planned activities:
- Promotion of an Euro American Entrepreneurship Network;
- Training Courses focus on entrepreneurship and employability skills;
- Training Courses focus on management skills for NGO workers;
- Job Shadowing activities;
- Exchange of best practices between Europe, Latin America and U.S.A
- Youth Entrepreneurship Policies;
- Learning Entrepreneurial Skills at School
