Action project on diversity learning
We want to cooperate with other European companies and create a network on the theme that we propose: the project on diversity learning. We reserve the right to consider proposals on other topics of interest of the cooperative.
Motivation and recognize of the necessities.
Companies nowadays are charactherized by great diversity in the composition of the workforce.
On the one hand there is the already significant presence of people from outside the European Community, on the other hand there is the need of protection of the disadvantaged ones. This significant presence can be transformed from a risk and a social cost in a winning factory, respecting the requirements given by the difference, companies can get really great results.
The differences can be extremely profitable if exploited and used in context their suitable, are source of wealth, if properly exploited. For example, it is possible that a disabled person in a wheelchair developes a greater sensitivity, feeling of being "different" than normal and this feature can be used in such trading.
Take another example: people of African origin used to shout to make involvement in what they say and this means that they have a strong voice, this characteristic can be used in various fields which require a strong voice and communicative, expressing energy and direction.
With these two examples we hope to have clarified what we strongly believe: the difference can be also an asset, not a social cost. Everything depends on the contexts and roles the people different or disadvantaged are claimed to work.
On the other hand, this project aims at training and developing of competences also through the creation of learning environments that respect differences and not judge, or worse, not marginalized talking about concepts that these people may not understand. If a person is, in anyway, different in disadvantaged or ostracized during the training, it is obvious that he will not bring in the course his experience and it's even harder to do it in practice.
We believe that the difference is not only and exclusively a cost, individual and social, but can become an asset: that as the difference, both physical and cultural, can be properly exploited in different contexts and situations that life presents to us.
Educational objectives of the project
- Provide or (if present) develop the scientific and professional and personal basis for the management of diversity, especially in the workplace.
- Develop a methodology about diversity management training and its transfer to the workplace.
- Develop innovative models of training in the workplace to protect the social inclusion of disadvantaged people.
- Develop a method and tools for training and working with diversity.
- Develop skills needed to support production processes, properties and services, employing people with different characteristics and varied ones.
- Improving the business climate.
- Create a transnational network capable of exchanging good practice on.
Recipients
Companies that wants to tackle the problem of diversity in a way differing from the usual way.
In the case this project is aimed at operators of training staff, teachers and business managers and human resource trainers, officials persons in charge for social inclusion of people with different ability and business executives and managers.
Beneficiaries
The main beneficiaries of the courses are immigrants ones and the disadvantaged people.
The project will train staff in contact with people different or disadvantaged ones
