Act Up; Youth Up!

Youth Exchange brings 33 youngsters from 5 different countries. The youth exchange will be held in Istanbul between the dates of Summer/Autumn 2020.

This youth exchange aims to include young people with cultural obstacles into the process of discussing, sharing experiences and using the method of invisible theatre to tackle the problem of immigration. The target group of this project are young people with cultural differences, specifically immigrants or refugees or descendants from immigrant or refugee families.

All of the workshops will be based on non-formal education methods, where the main focus will be on active participation. Main method to be used in the project is forum theatre, especially invisible theatre. Participants will perform in public place a scenario created by participants. The purposes of this public action are to raise awareness, interest and motivation among citizens for the problems of refugees.

Main objectives of this youth exchange are ;

-To promote European values,
-To raise awareness about immigrants, especially focused on lack of integration of refugees in the society,
-To point out the importance of respecting and protection of human rights for everyone;
-To introduce Forum theatre as a method to provoke reactions and discussions about problems people are facing with
