Act for Peace

Art project around war and peace, democracy, tolerance and European citizenship.

Our international youth exchange 'Acht for Peace' takes place at the House Accros Borders in Lommel, Belgium, next to the biggest German war grave cemetery in Western Europe.
Young people will meet in Lommel and will get to know each others cultures and habits.
The big cemetery is the example of things that were destroyed by hand, and during the meeting the participants will learn to create something beautifull by hand. Using art, the yougsters will change the place of destruction into a place of friendship.
During this exchange, we want to create an awareness for personal stories of humans who are victimes of war and conflict: this in the past and today.
