Acepted project-Youth Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Transformation"

"Empower NEETs with entrepreneurship skills via a sustainable journey across the Danube. Erasmus+ funds transport, lodging, and meals. No participation fees."

Project Overview: Empowering NEETs through Sustainable Entrepreneurship

Project Summary

"Sailing Towards Sustainability" is an innovative Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project aimed at equipping NEETs—young people not in employment, education, or training—with vital entrepreneurship skills. Through an experiential journey across the Danube, participants engage in a series of educational activities designed to foster digital, ecological, and social innovation. This project not only focuses on skill development but also emphasizes sustainable practices, aligning with the European Union’s goals for a greener future.

Funding and Support

Thanks to the generous backing of the Erasmus+ program, all transportation costs for participants will be covered within two weeks post-exchange, ensuring a deadline no later than July 4, 2024. Additionally, Erasmus+ provides comprehensive funding for food and accommodation, allowing participants to immerse themselves fully in the learning experience without financial concerns. Partner organizations receive €300 each for organizational support to prepare and assist the participant group throughout the project.

Objective

Our primary goal is to activate the latent potential within NEETs, empowering them to initiate and develop entrepreneurial ventures. By creating a supportive and practical learning environment, we aim to instill confidence and impart essential skills in digitalization, ecology, and social care entrepreneurship.

Activities

Participants will start their journey in Sofia, traveling sustainably to Nikopol, then by boat to Vardim—home to Bulgaria's first outdoor education center. Here, hands-on training and workshops will take place, surrounded by nature. The journey culminates with a bicycle trip to Svishtov, symbolizing the commitment to eco-friendly practices and the entrepreneurial journey ahead.

No Participation Fees

A core principle of this project is inclusivity; therefore, no participant is required to pay a fee to join. This approach ensures that financial barriers do not hinder motivated and talented NEETs from benefiting from this unique opportunity.

Partnership and Collaboration

A formal partnership agreement will be signed with each participating organization, outlining roles, responsibilities, and the support framework provided by the Erasmus+ program. This agreement solidifies the collaborative effort towards achieving the project's objectives and guarantees a transparent and supportive environment for all stakeholders.

Impact and Vision

By the project's conclusion, participants will have developed at least six viable models of youth entrepreneurship, contributing to sectors crucial for sustainable development. Moreover, a networking platform will be established, fostering long-term collaboration between participants, IT companies, and environmental and health institutions.

"Sailing Towards Sustainability" is more than a project; it’s a movement towards creating a sustainable, inclusive future by empowering the youth of today with the tools to innovate for tomorrow.
