“A Stronger Future for Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Survivors”

The target group of this Erasmus+ project is adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer survivors aged 18–30. The project aims to support their reintegration into society after treatment and to strengthen their resilience.

Main objectives of the project:

To support the personal and social development of young cancer survivors.

To create opportunities for peer mentoring and experience sharing among survivors.

To develop innovative educational materials and resources for educators, youth workers, and healthcare professionals.

To raise awareness about the needs of survivors by disseminating good practices across Europe.

Planned key activities within the project:

International youth camps: Two international camps on resilience, leadership, and peer support.

Digital storytelling platform: An online platform where survivors can share their experiences through blogs, podcasts, and videos.

Online training modules: Interactive educational content designed for teachers, youth workers, and healthcare staff.

Good Practices Guide: A handbook compiling exemplary practices from across Europe that support the reintegration of cancer survivors into society.

Final conference: An event to present project outputs, disseminate experiences, and strengthen stakeholder networks.

Expected results and impacts of the project:

Increased resilience and strengthened social participation of young survivors.

Establishment of a sustainable peer support network across Europe.

Development of ready-to-use educational materials and guides for experts and families.

Greater awareness of the needs of cancer survivors at both local and European levels.

Conclusion:
Through this project, young survivors are expected to gain self-confidence and social visibility, as well as the skills necessary to build stronger futures after treatment.
