2018 UN Peace Year - Danube Peace Boat Trip - UN decade Rapprochement of Cultures 2013-23

2013-23 is the UN Int. Decade for the Rapprochement of Cultures.-year 6 was declared as 2018 #PeaceYear because of the 60th anniversary of the Peace Symbol and the 70th anniv of the Universal Rights.
These decades and years are proposed after long and vivid debates by the leading institutes on what are the big issues of our societies, our countries, and then debated by our governments and voted upon by our diplomatic delegations at the UN in New York.
They support and align with Agenda21, Culture21, Sports21, the 17#GlobalGoals and the UN Calendar of Observances.
I thought it would be a great way to celebrate the Rapprochement of Cultures by a boat trip on the Danube - Rhine basin, connecting douzans of EU member countries - even Russia.
Of course this is a huge endeavour. I've researched and talked about it and many find it very inspiring: museum directors, exhibit organizers, politicians, artists, ... .
I'm an artist myself and would like to make and erect huge Peace Symbols from recyclart in the most relevant / enthusiastic towns, do workshops on the decade and its logical framework. Some musea and art investors are interested in buying the exhibition from all the art works we would make during the trips as I think it is a multi-annual endeavour. I have made contact with some environmental organisations that have done such boating trips e.g. made with recyclart boats. Again huge endeavour: where do you get the plastic bottles to make the boats, how to mobilize the groups of youth to make these boats, etc. The bigger the river becomes, safety issues arise, there's big ships using these rivers. There is a lot of support by EU officials as Peace and Rapprochement of Cultures is a topic - so the researchers were right in their predictions and to call for this decade in 2013 already when they saw all the refugee problems and tensions with some immigrants, the tensions with Russia, the stress on the environment. The EU Danube Rhine river base management organisation supports us.
This is a call to set-up a series of workshops to come to these Peace boat trips.
