Youth Of New Generation

“Youth of new generation” is a non-governmental, non-profit organization, established in the capital of Armenia, Yerevan, dealing with non-formal educational activities mainly among youngsters, focused on raising the European awareness about non-formal education as an effective tool for self-development and making youth involvement in public life more active and strengthening the principles of civil society.

“YONG” NGO consists of two founders and up to sixty members and volunteers, who are young people coming from different backgrounds, of different professions and interests, so each one of them is responsible for specific sphere of the activities we organise or in which we take part.
We are organization, which creates opportunities for young people who like to be progressive, try and learn something new and gain new experience.So, our NGO mainly work in the area of promotion youngsters’ educational, scientific and explorative activity.

“YONG” NGO aims to support the active involvement of young people in various areas of public life, to promote personal development and democratic citizenship, volunteering and youth mobility, sport and healthy lifestyle, to cooperate with youth from other countries and to learn their practice in solving the same problems and etc.

The Republic of Armenia is known for its diaspora. And many young people come to their homeland from that countries, where Armenia has a diaspora. These young people have problems with their adaptation, education but the main problem is employability.

Our target groups are ambitious and enthusiastic youngsters, young specialists, working with children and youth, people with disabilities, jobless people, that’s why as a non-governmental organization we organize different kind of activities, trainings, seminars, workshops, which, more or less, stimulates to find solutions to their problems. These kind of activities aim to help young people to develop their personal and professional competences and raise awareness of social life.

One of our important missions is to promote entrepreneurship among youngsters, supporting new ideas and initiatives of entrepreneurship.

So, summing up, the main goals of “YONG” NGO are:

• To encourage public participation of youth and strengthening links between local groups and municipal authorities;
• To promote social inclusion using Sport, Nature and Art;
• To develop youth mobility, intercultural exchanges and volunteering all over Europe, creating partnerships with European youth associations;
• To promote youth employment and youth entrepreneurship;
• To support refugees and minorities, stimulating their acceptance in different sphers of usual life;
• To promote intercultural dialogue;
• To operate in national and international programs related to human rights and environmental issues;
• To support involving youth with disabilities in social life;
• To establish cooperation with local government, NGOs, universities and international NGOs, foundations and other organizations who share common values.
