Youth Mentorship Initiative

Youth Mentorship Initiative Program is established by young professionals working to improve the well being of the youths in the community and has been operational in peri-urban areas of Kisumu County since 2011.A majority of the early years were set up as a result of the high unemployment rates among the youths and the need to engage young people to identify, create and develop new ways of self employment through training s,capacity building and partnering with financial institutions .A among other emerging issues has been high number of youths that are drug addicted,epidemic and sanitation emergencies.We are registered with the ministry of culture and social services of the Government of Kenya.
We are focused in engaging young people with the ideas of entrepreneurship and capacity building programs towards self reliance.Youth mentorship also engage in girl empowerment projects that promotes and create awareness for girl leadership and social development.We are also nurturing talents through cultural practices to enhance social cohesion among youths and this is an opportunity for the youths to learn various diversities of both intercultural and multicultural practices being Kisumu County is a metropolitan.Our focus is on impacting and changing the lives of the neediest through social welfare.
