Youth councillorship Fuenlabrada

The Department of Youth of Fuenlabrada City Council develops a wide range of programs aimed at promoting the development of , adolescents and young people in the city, providing the necessary resources to enhance their role in society and considering the participation of our young people as the most effective school of good citizenship.

The commitment of the Department is to work to enforce Article 48 of the Spanish Constitution: Public authorities will promote the conditions for the free and effective participation of youth in political, social, economic and cultural development. For this reason, the Department of Youth and Childhood has as its mission to work for municipal policies to increase the social relevance of youth and strengthen the defense of their rights.

Creativity, participation, training, social and environmental sensitivity, responsible citizenship and critical spirit, leisure and free time, education and vindication of the equality values and diversity, all these are ideas-force on which pivotal active policies of the Department.

In this way we aim to stimulate and streamline the relationships between young people and Local Administration, improving the conditions and life quality of our younger citizens. We believe that it would not be possible to innovate, optimize our resources and offer quality services without the support in the management of this social movements, we find it crucial to provide information of interest to our young people, adapted to their language and going wherever they are, in schools, making available to them specialized Youth Information Services.
