Youth Council Prilep (YCP) was founded in 1999, as a youth NGO in Prilep and is aimed at improving the lives of young people at the regional and national level. Youth Council Prilep is a founder and full member of the Coalition of Youth Organizations SEGA, a national umbrella organization.
Youth Council Prilep supports young people in the region by implementing projects to help them and provide opportunities to improve their capacity by providing mentoring support and their involvement in creative workshops, trainings, seminars and social events in order to grow into active citizens.
The organization provides a friendly space for young people where they can increase their personal capacity through non-formal education.
YCP support the mobility of young people through the accreditation obtained from the Erasmus + program for mobility of young people and youth workers, as well as by having a Quality Label for the implementation of volunteer and solidarity projects for young people that are part of the European Solidarity Corps program.
YCP work effectively on youth participation by supporting all student parliaments / organizations as well as the newly established mechanisms for youth participation in municipalities - Local Youth Councils.
In order to help young people be prepared to be easier to position themselves in the labor market, the organization in the last 8 years has focused its activities on reducing youth unemployment, organizing activities on a regular basis such as training for entrepreneurship, mentoring, career counseling and guidance, as well as promoting internships.
This training course is an opportunity to reflect on youth work practices, highlight effective methods, and improve youth participation in Erasmus+ projects.
