Youth Center "ARDHMERIA"

Youth center “Ardhmeria” in Klina/Kosovo was founded on September of 1999 as a need for youth activities in post-war society in Kosova.
The center was founded with the help of an Italian organization as ICS (Italian Consortium of Solidarity), ARCI, FCEI and IPSIA (Institute of Peace and development ACLIi) which were active in Kosova after war in our country.
The work done by Youth center given a real contribute in inter-ethnic detention, development of peace and tolerance, removal of prejudices among youth and development of possibilities for youth cooperation in realization of different multi ethnic projects, Youth Development Project”, financed by World Bank and on November 2009 we are accredited as a part of Salto Youth in Action for Youth exchanges under the no. 2009-SI-67
Youth Centre objectives are:
•Reference point for youth and Youth stimulation for integration in society
•Youth Sensibilisation for importance of positive relationship between them.

From the beginning of work, youth Centre have developed many activities for Young people such are: IT courses, Foreign languages, Math course, Life skills(literacy HIV/Aids) music activities and also leisure activities such are: celebration ,spectacles, summer camps for disabled children,.
And in the centre also we use to develop summer activities for animation, these activities were financed from Italian Ngo ARCI and their volunteers.
After some years we are focused in Youth work and non formal education, and by implementing the Youth projects we have realize that our Youth In Kosovo is very open minded and they need a corporation and Youth Exchanges with international Youth.

Structure:
Youth Centre has a work team (or structure),
The team of youth centre (3 persons) works from Monday to Friday- 9.00 AM until 16.oo PM

Volunteers:
And Centre has also 15 local volunteers that they are a best part of the Youth Centre, volunteers are 15 -25 years old,
They work part time in the Centre, it depends from the work that we have in Centre.
Beneficiaries: during the year (January - December) we have 250 beneficiaries from our activities, and also beneficiary are from different communities as Albanian (Muslims and catholic), Egyptians, Roma.
These entire beneficiaries are 14- 24 years old and they all are from Klina town and the Klina’s area.
Infrastructure: in the past we had an old building of youth Centre, and now we have a new space for our activities,
We have office for team work, computers room and hall for trainings and meetings, and usually we use schools for Sport activities and municipality hall for public debates, conference and presentations. The new space is close to the big shoping center and it is in middle of Klina town.
All the equpment that we have is from world bank project and it is new as computers, printers, skaners, camera, projector, fridge, and tables and chairs are from ICS project .
