Young Professional Women in Iceland

UAK (Young Professional Women in Iceland) is an organization that encourages equality, paradigm shift and advancement in society. It's an organization for women that want to succeed in various fields of the economy and do everything in their power to eliminate obstacles that young professional women face every day.

UAK's members have a diverse background; some are already working, others seeking higher education. The organization seeks to create a forum for women to learn, and to promote and empower each other - the network between women who pursue the same goals is invaluable. The organization offers various events for members each month. Each event is aimed at encouraging young women, inspiring them and assisting them in developing their skills.

Young Professional Women in Iceland want to promote a society where women and men are equal and offered the same opportunities. Our goal is to strengthen the position and future of young women as managers and members of the economy. Until men and women stand equal in Icelandic society, UAK will continue to work and promote equality through education, discussion and encouragement.
