In 2024, the Young Ecology Volunteers was established as an unofficial youth group. Members: Selin Uzun, Emir Batuhan Bütün, and advisor Aslı Sarışan Tungaçtır. Members actively participate in project management and volunteer activities. They particularly focus on themes such as ecology, environmental awareness, sustainable living, and creative drama. They carry out projects and activities solely driven by their volunteerism and curiosity for research, without expecting any rewards in return.
Under the Ondokuz Mayıs University 2021-1 Student Projects Support Program, the project "Becoming a Conscious Consumer with the 7R Rule from Theory to Practice" has been granted support. Additionally, the project "Becoming a Conscious Consumer with the 7R Rule" was supported by the TÜBİTAK 2209-A University Students Research Projects, along with the project "The Effect of Creative Drama on Acquiring Concepts in Science Experiments for Children Aged 60-72 Months". These projects were led by Selin Uzun and Emir Batuhan Bütün.
Selin Uzun and Emir Batuhan Bütün are among the members of the team that won the first prize with the project "Discover Yourself, Develop Your Career" at the Career Project Competition held during the Central Black Sea Career Fair in 2022.
They have participated in organizing events such as World Children's Rights Day, World Disabled Day, International Volunteers Day, World Human Rights Day, and Children's Festivals within the university.
Our youth group works on creating environmental awareness, gaining awareness, and imparting sustainable living skills to young people and children. In addition to these efforts, they also organize events and activities aligned with various volunteering themes.
The objective of this project is to organize workshops and training sessions based on the ecological art approach.
