Vron Foundation is a renewable energy technology innovation organization under the Company Vron Engineering Limited based in Uganda with registration number 80020002089374, TIN 1016952194

The organization seeks to contribute to the improvement of young people’s. youths’ and women lives through training and provision of hands on skills about the manufacture, use and creation of employment opportunities with the adoption reliable, affordable and sustainable environmental friendly energy solutions.
Our main objective is:

• To train youth and women in hands on environment clean energy solutions
• To train youth and women in networking and marketing of both the environment clean energy solutions.
• To train youth and women in entrepreneurship skills to help them manage day to day business affairs in a well-designed business environment.
• To provide start-up capital, materials and moral support to vulnerable young youths.

At Vron Foundation, we have effectively made our interventions in the following activities:
Innovation of sustainable, affordable and reliable environment safe energy solutions and technologies in the domestic, commercial and institutional sectors at large. we do partner with funder organizations to mobilize youth and women for our prospective employment training opportunities like vocational and entrepreneurship skills training programs in the empowerment and uptake of our renewable energy innovations and solutions. After training with us, we provide start-up capital to our finalists for business initiation.
We have partnered with VI Agro-forestry, Rotary International, and Uganda National farmers’ association to fund our projects.

We also run projects like Briquette manufacturing, climate change general awareness to children, youths and women, planting trees and creating schools environmental clubs.

We have partnered with Organizations like United Nations High Commissioner for refugees (UNHCR), Humanitarian Initiative Just relief (HIJRA) and African Initiative for relief and development (AIRD) with the initiative of providing clean energy solutions and technologies

Vron Foundation was established in 2017 by, Eng. Nyende Khalid with Innovation of sustainable reliable and affordable renewable energy c technology as a vision and in 20019 it was officially registered as a company, more 5 team members with the same ideology joined with the environmental protection, women and youth livelihood initiative.

Vron Foundation targets the less privileged (refugees and rural areas) children, youths and women, the children we target are both in and out of school with age bracket of 10-15. Youths target group is 15- 28 with women ranging from 20-35 years of age. All these freely benefit from our programs.

With the expertise we have gained for now more than 6 years implementing projects of the kind, we guarantee that our participation in the project will bring before other members in the project, an opportunity to share with us best practices adopted at Vron Foundation in implementation of the similar projects. We will work hard to make sure that the project is successfully achieved through effective participation, coordination and project team work.

OUR ACTIVITIES

Vron Foundation is dedicated to innovating sustainable, reliable and affordable Renewable energy solutions that can fight against the immense pressure impacted on to natural forests resources.
So far we invented the Volcanic Rocks and Solar Power Aided cook stoves that reduce up to 80% on Biomass (Firewood and charcoal) consumption. For five years now we are distributing the stoves to different parts of the country. We project that within the next 20 years provided with enough funding into our research and distribution of the cook stoves, we will be able to eliminate the use of firewood and charcoal hence eradicating deforestation as referred to search for cooking fuels in the country.

We have worked with funder organization like VI Agro-forestry and Rotary International since 2017 in environmental conservation and youth /women livelihood programs through energy saving cook stoves manufacturing Vocational Training and entrepreneurship programs. Through these programs, we partner with funder organizations to train vulnerable women and youth hands on skills of how to manufacture our energy saving stoves using locally available materials and also provide them with skills and ways in which they can turn the manufacturing of the Energy saving cook stoves into business to improve on their livelihood. We also provide them with start-up capital.

Vron Engineering Handles solar Installation contracts for UNHCR, African Initiative for relief and Development (AIRD) and Humanitarian Initiative Just Relief Aid (HIJRA). In all refugee settlement areas of Uganda.
For 4 years now, Through these Solar installation projects, we have provided solar lighting in Hospitals and Education centers in refugee settlement areas throughout the country.

OUR TEAM MEMBERS

Nyende Khalid

The Executive director and the founder of Vron Foundation and Vron Engineering Limited. He holds a Bachelor’s degree In electrical engineering. Khalid is also the Board chairman of the Solar Cook stove Association (SACCA).
Khalid has a wide knowledge in renewable Energy and, competences and skills in working in renewable energy Technology research and with an expertise of over 9 years working with renewable energy organizations, Khalid has managed to form a consortium of all companies dealing in renewable energy cooking technology research in Uganda

Asha Khan: is our Finance officer here at the Foundation and her experience in financial management, having been working in the Business and procurement sector for over 6 years as the Financial controller; this renders her with a wide experience of handling finances professionally.
She worked as a cashier and accountant for Right Build Uganda Before joining us. She has several competences in financial value chain, partnership management, capacity building, organizational management and a youth work with unique qualities in starting initiatives for the youth.
Asha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social woks and a diploma in Micro finance, a graduate specialty in Economics with other certificates related to Banking and risk management.
Gloria Kembabazi is the Organization Administrator responsible for administration services in the Organization.
Her involvement in communities for a long period of time working as a social work, has equipped her with a lot of competence in tackling and addressing issues that affect most of the underprivileged populations in our catchment areas. Gloria holds a diploma in social work and administration.

Lumu Claus
also works with us as a Projects manager, and he is responsible for managing all projects. He holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical engineering, He has been successful with all projects that we have carried out. He has a lot of expertise in big projects management , with him we have managed to Start an on going project with Rotary international and all rotary clubs all over the country.

Ranny Nyende
works with us as a volunteer coordinator and with his experience of managing volunteers for over 5 years at Vron Foundation, has capacity of coordinating all the volunteers that would participate in this forthcoming consortium project.
Ranny is a university going member perusing a diploma in public administration.
We have other several staff members, at the Foundation. we are 18 full time workers with over. Volunteers join us during different project execution.
